ABSENTEE VOTING INFORMATION
Voters in Clay County who will be away from their polling places for the November 8, 2011 Special Election may
cast an ABSENTEE BALLOT beginning September 27, 2011 at the Clay County Election Board Office, 100 W. Mississippi
Street in Liberty, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through November 7, 2011. The Clay County
Annex, 1901 NE 48th Street, will be available for absentee voting Thursday, November 3, 2011 through Friday,
November 4, 2011 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Both locations will be open for absentee voting on Saturday,
November 5, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The last day to register to vote for the November Election is October 12, 2011.
Requests for absentee ballots to be mailed must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. November 2, 2011.
Voters may stop by either office to pick up a sample ballot for the election. For further information,

TWO NEW CLAY COUNTY ELECTION BOARD MEMBERS
The Clay County Board of Election Commissioners is pleased to welcome two new members to the
Board. Governor Jay Nixon has appointed, and the Senate has confirmed, Anthony Bologna (D)
as Chairman of the Board, filling the remaining term of the late Gerald Randall who passed
away last November. Mr. Bololgna is a former Assistant Clay County Prosecutor and is currently
in private practice in Liberty. Mr. Bologna's term will expire in June 2013. Governor Jay Nixon
has also appointed and the Senate has confirmed Thelma Crawford (D) to the Board. Ms Crawford
is a local business owner and former Executive Director of the St. Louis Chapter of the National
Association of Women Business Owners and current Chair of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Crawford's term expires June 2015.
